If women get "compensation" for sacrificing a career, why the hell shouldn't men?

It's nonsense to claim that this is some kind of payback - women have NEVER, in the whole of history, had to contend with being divorced, losing their children AND having to pay child support and alimony. And those women who say 'this happened to me' seem to be totally oblivious to the fact that the crucial difference is that they got to keep their children while these men have them taken from them after years as their primary carer. The law is vicious towards men in this respect - but not half as vicious as some of the women on this thread.
What happened to women's supposed greater capacity for empathy - or is that reserved only for other women and some of the fluffier and more charistmatic animals?"
